The only option to remove Vipre AV was using Revo Uninstaller. Doing a system restore didn't solve this. I couldn't run the installer to do a repair install nor could I uninstall it through add/remove programs. Then I found out that Vipre antivirus was completely screwed up and disabled. Situation in short : on the 5th of January we suffered a major power cut which caused the laptop to freeze completely I couldn't do a proper shut down (the laptop was still running on the battery but the wired internet connection broke down) so I had to press the on/off button to shut it down.Īfterwards, after restarting, I got a pop up "Wireless Configuration / Notification dll has not been registered, program will not work correctly" (I can post a screen shot if necessary but it's in Dutch).
